STEVE WILLACY: VICE PRINCIPAL 

Key Responsibilities: Teaching; Curriculum; Employer Partnerships

Steve was born in Hull and has lived and worked in the area most of his life.

Prior to taking up post as Vice Principal of RDUTC, Steve was Deputy Headteacher at Bridlington School. He played a leading role in driving forward the school improvement agenda, particularly in terms of developing the curriculum, raising standards of teaching and embedding the use of digital technologies (Steve’s personal area of expertise).

Other roles have included Assistant Headteacher at Bridlington School, Assistant Headteacher at Kelvin Hall School (where he led the BSF design and build project for the new school) and Head of ICT.

In addition Steve has industry experience having served an apprenticeship in a range of IT support sectors including Local Government and Retail & Logistics. He was also an ICT Network Manager for five years.

Steve is ideally suited to lead on the curriculum and employer partnerships at RDUTC. He has used his own industry experience
and digital technology expertise to bring an innovative approach to the educational experience at Bridlington School. This has paid huge dividends in terms of student progress and success in exams. He is extremely excited about maximising the potential of the state of the art facilities at RDUTC and fantastic partnerships with the area’s biggest employers to take his educational vision to a whole new level.
