CARE, GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT

Ensuring our students are safe, happy and able to learn effectively is our highest priority

We have a comprehensive support team comprising the following staff:

  • A Vice Principal Personal Development and Wellbeing
  • A Senior Assistant Principal for Safeguarding
  • A Head of KS4
  • Two Joint Heads of Sixth Form
  • Two Information, Advice and Guidance Mentors
  • An Independent Careers Adviser
  • A SENDCo & an Assistant SENDCo 
  • Teaching Assistants
  • A First Aid Manager
  • A School Nurse
  • Counsellors 

To maximise our students’ academic, personal and employability skills development, all students have a number of Mentors: 

  • An Information Advice and Guidance Mentor who is available to them at all times during the school day 
  • An Academic Mentor from our teaching team with whom they meet weekly
  • A Senior Leadership Team Mentor with whom they meet termly 
  • Business Mentors from our Employer Partners with whom they meet half-termly

We also work in partnership with an independent Careers Adviser who ensures our students receive impartial information, advice and guidance about post 16 and 18 education and employment pathways.
