Launch your creative career at STEAM Studios

STEAM Studios: Hull’s new £4M Centre for Creativity

Welcome to our new home for the arts

Are you creative? Do you want a career in the arts? If so, come and spread your wings at STEAM (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) Studios – Ron Dearing UTC’s new sustainable space for creative learning.

We are converting the historic former Central Fire Station in Hull, which will become a satellite site next to our main UTC in Hull city centre. Opening in September 2023, it will be home to STEAM Studios and our Creative Arts Department, as well as a Sixth Form Centre, Exhibition Centre and Renewables Innovation Lab.

Spread your wings

STEAM Studios will be an inspiring environment where you can ignite your creative passion and excel. It will comprise three art and design studios, a ceramics studio, a Mac suite, a recording studio, film-making facilities, and performance spaces. You’ll also get to use our impressive exhibition centre and performance space to showcase your work.

Alongside amazing facilities, Sixth Formers will have the opportunity to work alongside professional artists through the Artists in Residence programme.
